Omega-3 Fatty Acids are essential for optimizing overall health. Krill oil’s omega-3s are bound to phospholipids that are water soluble making them highly absorbable by the body. Krill oil requires less digestion than other non-water-soluble sources of omega-3s eliminating that ‘fishy burp-up’ aftertaste. Krill oil contains astaxanthin, an antioxidant that protects it from oxidizing, unlike other sources of omega-3s that lack this protection. Astaxanthin is also responsible for giving krill oil as well as flamingos their reddish colors. Krill fall low on the food chain and live in a pristine environment resulting in little chance of environmental contaminant build-up. Further purity testing is done after the krill are processed into oil. Our krill is harvested from the pristine ocean near Antarctica using an eco-friendly technique that eliminates all unwanted bycatch. GPS coordinates located on the bottom of the bottle indicate the harvesting location of our Krill oil providing 100% traceability.
